On June 12, Principal Akosua Watts unleashed her inner artist and performed a parody of Frozen's "Let It Go."
Since November, Akosua had promised our CCSA scholars that if they read 50 million words by Thursday, June 11, she would do the following three things - dress up as a clown, perform "Let It Go" dressed as Princess Elsa, and participate in the ice bucket challenge at CCSA's first-ever Scholastic Reading Counts Assembly.
CCSA scholars met the challenge, reading 60,914,438 words. Here are PHOTOS and VIDEO from the assembly!
On Wednesday, March 18, third, fourth, and fifth grade CCSA scholars enjoyed a beautiful performance by harpist, Jordan Thomas. Mr. Thomas played several classical pieces, told his own music story, and shared information about the history and design of the harp. The event was made possible by the Links Inc., Delaware Valley Pennsylvania Chapter.
